We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience managing financial records in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Prepare and process payroll and remittances
  • Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions
  • Manage accounts, invoices, and expenses
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Perform general administrative duties including, but not limited to, answering telephones and responding to emails
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all dealings
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the operation of a busy group of retail companies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficient in Sage or other accounting software
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with payroll and tax filing
  • Certificate/ Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
