Do you enjoy being physically active and have a passion for plants? Then this job is for you! Blue Grass, Calgary's largest Nursery and Garden Center is looking for energetic and enthusiastic people to work in our fast-paced greenhouse. This is a dynamic summer seasonal position, with the prime operating season being April through July.

Responsibilities include:

• Watering and optimizing the health of annuals, perennials, and indoor plants
• Assisting customers in the sales of annuals, perennials, and indoor plants
• Unloading product shipments, loading product orders for customers and stocking greenhouse
• General housekeeping of the greenhouse

Qualifications:

• Some knowledge of horticulture/landscaping would be an asset
• Training and tools will be provided, however, 1 year of experience in a customer service role is preferred
• Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Fluency in English and a second language would be an asset

Physical Demands:

• Standing for long periods
• Capable of offloading truck shipments of plant material and restocking and maintaining products on a repetitive basis, this is a physically demanding position
