Job Title: Seasonal Tire & Lube Technician

Term: Full-Time, Approx. 6 Weeks (Seasonal)
Location: OK Tire – Windsor, Nova Scotia
Reports To: Shop Manager

Position Summary

We are looking for a hardworking, hands-on Seasonal Tire & Lube Technician to join our team at OK Tire in Windsor. This full-time, seasonal position (approximately 6 weeks) is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and a passion for automotive service. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing tire changes, oil changes, fluid checks, and basic maintenance services on a large range of vehicles—from passenger cars and light trucks to trailers, farm tractors and lawn and garden equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform seasonal tire changeovers, rotations, repairs, mounting, and balancing on a wide range of tires (car, truck, farm, lawn/garden).
  • Complete seasonal tire changes (mounting, balancing, installation).
  • Operate tire changers, balancers, and basic shop equipment safely.
  • Conduct oil and filter changes following manufacturer specifications.
  • Inspect and top up fluids including brake, coolant, transmission, and windshield washer.
  • Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report issues to the service advisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Assist with inventory organization and tire storage.
  • Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a tire shop or automotive maintenance environment is preferred but not required.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting tires and working in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, follow safety procedures, and take direction.
  • Must be a team player with a good attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is an asset, and the ability to operate a manual transmission is a bonus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.

Work Conditions

  • Fast-paced environment with frequent lifting and standing.
  • Potential exposure to automotive fluids and loud noises.
  • Must be comfortable working indoors and occasionally outdoors.

Employment Term

  • Duration: Approximately 6 weeks, Full-Time (40 hours/week)
