Overview of the Role:

The Bilingual Community Engagement Coordinator is one of the most visible team members on the DBAE team. This person will direct the school's front office and create a set of operational systems and procedures that support community engagement and smooth school functioning. This person serves as a key liaison between students, staff, and families, and will be the first person to interact with anybody entering our school.

 

Qualifications:

- Must be able to speak, read, and write in Spanish and English

- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a highly outgoing and proactive personality

- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve potential problems before they escalate

- Highly organized with the capacity to maintain a strict routine and adhere to comprehensive follow-up protocols

- Great public speaker with confidence when engaging with new individuals, parents, and students

Core Competencies:

- Office Management: Proficient in managing office operations, including organizing files, scheduling appointments, and providing support to school staff

- Community Engagement: Ability to develop and implement strategies for engaging parents, local community members, and other stakeholders

- Proactive Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential challenges and develop preemptive solutions

- Digital Communication: Expertise in managing social media platforms and creating compelling digital content

- Bilingual Communication: Exceptional skills in English and Spanish communication

- Community Networking: Strong capability to build and maintain strategic community partnerships

 

Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement and Communications:

- Develop and implement a robust bilingual community engagement plan

-Implement and manage enrollment paperwork

-Adhere to Nevada’s State Laws

- Serve as the primary welcoming contact for the school

- Manage DBAE's website and social media accounts

- Create and distribute bilingual communications

- Plan and execute school events, recruitment, and community activities

- Attend and represent DBAE at community events

 

Systems and Processes:

- Manage student information systems

- Execute daily attendance tracking

- Manage office operations and logistics

- Maintain comprehensive record-keeping

- Assist with school administrative processes

 

Additional Requirements:

- 2-3 years of work experience in school, non-profit, or office management

- Comfortable with startup environment dynamics

- Proficient in creating PowerPoint and professional presentations

- Ability to drive to various locations

- Valid driver's license

- Comfortable with independent travel
