As one of Calgary's largest suppliers of landscape products, we are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Class 3 Drivers – Sanding Truck Operators.

Job Description:
This on-call seasonal position involves operating a sanding truck for snow and ice management within Calgary and surrounding areas. With the potential to evolve into a full-time role in the spring and summer, successful candidates will deliver sod or bulk products during the warmer months.  This is a salaried position, paying 40 hours bi-weekly, guaranteed.

Key Details:

• Shifts Available:
  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM This is an Oncall Position
• Salary: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour 40 Hours Bi-weekly

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate a sanding truck with a belly blade for snow removal in Calgary and surrounding areas.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance.
• Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients.
• In spring and summer:
  • Load, secure, and deliver a variety of landscaping products (e.g., sod, soil, mulch, trees).
  • Navigate deliveries efficiently within Calgary and surrounding areas.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Required:
  • Class 3 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Minimum of three years of driving experience.
  • Comfortable maneuvering large vehicles in tight residential areas.
  • Strong communication skills for effective coordination with dispatch, management, and clients.
  • Good knowledge of Calgary’s street systems.
• Preferred:
  • Experience with tandem trucks, sanding trucks with belly blades, and loaders.
  • Previous delivery experience in Calgary.

Employment Type:

• Seasonal, Casual, or Full-Time (6-month contract with potential for extension).

Schedule Flexibility:

Supplemental Pay:

Application Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of three years in commercial driving (preferred).
• License/Certification: Valid Class 3 or Class 1 Driver’s License (required).

Work Location:

• On the road, servicing Calgary and surrounding areas.
