Lucky Dog Bark & Brew on Thrift Rd. is looking for a professional, high-energy and experienced bartender to lead and support the bar team at our dog-friendly establishment! Our bars include indoor and outdoor dog-friendly spaces so loving dogs is a MUST.  Our ideal candidate should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable, with the experience necessary to guide the other bartenders in our team. This is a full time position, with pay starting at $18/hr.

Lead Bartender Responsibilities:

  • Leading and supporting our bartenders during their shifts, ensuring smooth operations, monitoring workflow, and providing/supporting excellent customer service; open and close the bar and take the lead throughout each shift
  • Acting as a point of contact for any issues during shifts; handling guest complaints or difficult situations with professionalism and communicating issues or concerns to the area manager
  • Contributing/assisting with scheduling and ordering
  • Assisting in the management of parties and events
  • Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
  • Treating all guests—patron and pups alike—with dignity and respect in all interactions.
  • Informing customers about new beverages and specials.
  • Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
  • Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
  • Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
  • Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
  • Maintaining a clean work area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment; making sure bar and dog yards meet the highest standards for sanitation and safety

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required.
  • Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong task and time management abilities.
  • Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
