Procurement and Inventory Control Coordinator

This position will manage the day to day purchasing and inventory for all BTR Group field employees. You will be responsible for issuing purchase orders, receiving materials, managing stock and inventory as well as occasional pick-ups and deliveries to job sites. You will work directly with our management team, our finance team and our electricians, panel builders and integrators to ensure the cost-effective purchase of materials and inventory.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Day to Day purchasing of materials, supplies and inventory
  • Issuing PO’s to venders, receiving PO’s into the inventory system
  • Negotiating pricing with vendors, ensuring negotiated pricing is met
  • Explore alternatives for various products
  • Work with project managers to find cost effective solutions and manage material submissions
  • Pick up and deliver materials to and from job sites
  • Manage equipment and tool inventory and sign outs
  • Returns to suppliers and verification of credits issued

Education and Experience required:

  • Degree / Diploma in Purchasing or Business or related field of study and or relevant trade experience
  • Minimum of 2 years previous purchasing, receiving and inventory management experience
  • Must be detail oriented and have a solid background in record keeping procedures and maintaining organized documentation and/or filing systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact with vendors, customers, and staff
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Highly organized to handle multiple priorities
  • Good driving record
