Welcome To Chris Reeve Knives - Applying For The Cerakote Specialist/Coating/4 Day Work Week Position

As a Chris Reeve Knives Finishing Team member, you will have a diverse experience at a quality-oriented, world-renowned knife manufacturing company. The Cerakote Specialist will be responsible for applying Cerakote coatings to knife components, including blades, handles, and hardware, with a focus on precision, durability, and aesthetic quality. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cerakote application, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional finishes that meet strict quality standards.

. Applicants should have strong attention to detail and enjoy working with their hands. The job is a full-time position, based in Boise, Idaho.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to follow standard work instructions and work towards assigned performance goals
  • Must be willing to learn multiple new processes which require thinking and hand skill abilities
  • Must be able to work in a team environment as required
  • Must be able to perform other general tasks as required
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and standing for long periods
  • Must be able to wear a respirator for long periods of time
  • RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
  • Keep inventory accurate and workspace clean and organized 
  • Daily, Monthly and Yearly parts output quantity goals met
  • Accurate parts logging
  • Assisting the team in daily operations
  • Prepare knife parts for coating by cleaning, degreasing, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure proper adhesion.
  • Apply Cerakote coatings using spray guns or other specialized equipment, ensuring even coverage and consistent thickness.
  • Mix Cerakote materials accurately to achieve desired colors, textures, and finishes.
  • Perform post-application curing processes, including oven baking, to ensure coating durability.
  • Inspect coated parts for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain and clean Cerakote application equipment, including spray guns and curing ovens, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols when handling chemicals and operating equipment.
  • Collaborate with production team members to meet project deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Inventory management of supplies.
