CKF Inc. has plants located in British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia and the states of Iowa and Texas, manufacturing numerous types of food packaging and protective packaging.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and motivated individual to join our team in any of our locations in Canada or the United States. The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and executing strategies and initiatives that drive operational efficiency, enhance quality, and reduce costs across the organization. This role focuses on implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

                                               

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives across departments and teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
  • Facilitate Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other CI methodologies and workshops.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor performance, identify trends, and determine root causes of inefficiencies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including CI Representatives, to implement solutions and ensure sustainability.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on CI tools and best practices.
  • Track and report improvement project results and ROI to leadership.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure adoption of new processes.
  • Benchmark internal and external best practices to foster innovation.
  • Provide leadership to direct and indirect team members across multiple sites.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a continuous improvement, process improvement, or operational excellence role.
  • Demonstrated success in leading Lean or Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Experience in manufacturing.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (required or preferred).
  • PMP or Change Management certification (an asset).

  • Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, PDCA, and related methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and facilitation abilities.
  • Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
