Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead 5S projects to better organize production areas.
  • Help GMH’s clean aisles in the warehouse and mill roll stage areas.
  • Help maintaining forklift charging area free of dust and oil.
  • Assist operators in cleaning plastic spills in the silo, railcar loading, and compactor areas for Operation Clean Sweep.
  • Assist operators in cleaning oil/water/chemical spills from equipment.
  • Clean the outside areas near the wood/carboard bins and compactor areas.
  • Paint walls, railings, and posts when required.
  • Clean outside the plant yard, shipping yard, broken pallets, wood, fluff
  • Weekly inspections of roof and clean spillage on the roof
  • Ensure production garbage bins are emptied and replaced with bags.
  • Sanitize production lines and work areas to ensure the areas are free from contamination.
  • Use the industrial floor scrubbers to clean aisles.
  • Ensure pest control corrective actions are completed.
  • Ensure GFSI policies are being maintained throughout the plant.
  • Other related duties will be assigned on an as needed basis.

 

Quality and Product Safety Responsibilities:

  • Reports product safety issues/ problems observed, that require immediate action (e.g., any risk, or any evidence of unsafe, or out-of-specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials) to their immediate supervisor, or HACCP Coordinator.

  • Applicants must have very good attendance and a safety record.
  • Must have good attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated good work ethics.
  • Selected applicants may be required to pass a physical assessment.
