We're looking for an experienced restaurant bookkeeper who is a self-starter with strong leadership skills and the ability to foster a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will bring resourcefulness, high integrity, and a collaborative spirit to our team.

As our Bookkeeper, you'll review and analyze accounting records to prepare accurate financial statements and deliver insights that support informed financial decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to guests and team members
• Reconcile and balance staff turn-in reports and commissions, verify discounts and house charges for accuracy, and report variances to the General Manager
• Maintain comprehensive recordkeeping systems for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and related accounting filings
• Ensure accuracy of cash balances for tills, petty cash, and safe
• Process accounts payable and review purchases for proper coding and entry into the accounting system
• Reconcile financial transactions with our separately owned hotel, including catering, events, and room charges
• Oversee maintenance, tracking, and accuracy of our loyalty program
• Review and maintain personnel records in the POS system, assist with employee recordkeeping, and ensure all termination, rate change, and new hire documentation is current and complete
• Support HR with benefits administration and payroll processes
• Maintain and publish financial reporting spreadsheets
• Assist with phone coverage and guest reservations as needed
• Meet or exceed all deadlines
• Complete additional projects and duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Restaurant bookkeeping experience required
• Demonstrated experience with accurate cash handling and sales reconciliation
• Successful completion of a background check (required before job offer)

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $24 per hour
