Millwright Apprentice Opportunity in Scarborough, ONTARIO

 

A well-established, successful manufacturing company with locations in Scarborough, Ontario is looking to hire a Millwright Apprentice who has completed their levelled schooling and looking to complete their hours. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a great team atmosphere.

 

As a Millwright Apprentice, your key responsibilities are:

• Repair and maintain, in accordance with local codes, diagrams, sketches, engineering drawings, manuals and manufacturer’s specifications, machinery, such as motors, conveyors, boilers, compressors, production equipment and other related machinery
• Shift work required
• Overtime when required

Qualifications:

• Completed a related college program that gains exemption to levelled schooling
• OR An apprentice with most or all of levelled schooling completed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Able to work in a team and to handle priorities under pressure
• Strong understanding and conscious of safe work practices
• Available to attend schooling and attain Journeymen certification within a specified time period
• Mechanical maintenance experience is necessary and preferably currently working as a millwright apprentice
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
