Sylvan Lake Autopro is a busy, family-oriented shop committed to providing top-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services to our community. We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Automotive Service Technician to join our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has already started their apprenticeship journey or is eager to begin the apprenticeship program gain hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced journeyperson technicians.
We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about auto mechanics and ideally possesses some initial experience in the trade:
Current Apprentice Registration: Ideal but not necessarily. A good attitude and some basic mechanical ability would be a greater asset.
Basic Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated aptitude for vehicle service and repair. Experience with basic tasks such as oil changes, tire services, brake inspections, and light maintenance is a significant asset.
Strong Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and committed to learning and improving every day.
Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with our existing team.
Valid Driver's License: Must possess a clean, valid driver's license. Also, be able to get a drivers abstract & be insurable.
Under the direct supervision of a Journeyperson Technician, you will:
Perform basic vehicle services, including fluid changes, filter replacements, and tire mounting/balancing/repair.
Assist Journeyperson Technicians with diagnostics and complex repairs.
Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and clearly document findings.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
Commit to continuous learning, attending training sessions, and preparing for technical schooling.
