Job description:
Blue Grass Ltd. is seeking a Greenhouse Labourer to work in our greenhouse and nursery. Tasks will include: cleaning plants, cleaning facility, weeding, assisting in pruning of trees, shrubs and plants, potting plants, watering, applying fertilizers, tending to lawns and gardens, reporting signs of insect or disease damage. No experience or education required, as training will be provided. However, previous experience or knowledge of plant material is an asset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, which is physically demanding, as well as being reliable, hard working, and a team player, is very important. Ability to bend, lift, crouch, and kneel for extended periods. This is a seasonal position running from April to December, offering full-time hours plus overtime. Typical work week will be 6 days (Monday - Saturday) for a minimum of 8-12 hours a day. Steel-toed footwear is required.
