Electrical Estimator / Project Manager

About the Role

Canadian Electric is a growing electrical contracting company working across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. We are seeking an Electrical Estimator / Project Manager who can confidently own projects from pricing through execution, with a strong focus on accuracy, coordination, and follow-through.

This role is ideal for someone who understands electrical estimating and knows how projects actually run in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating

• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates and take-offs
• Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
• Price labour, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work
• Work with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• Support bid submissions and client clarifications

Project Management

• Manage awarded projects from kickoff to closeout
• Coordinate scheduling with operations and field crews
• Track materials, inspections, and job progress
• Attend site meetings as required
• Manage change orders, revisions, and scope adjustments
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Coordination & Communication

• Act as a key point of contact for clients, GCs, and consultants
• Work closely with field supervisors and admin staff
• Maintain organized job files and documentation
• Support a smooth handoff between estimating and execution

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in estimating and project management
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings, and codes
• Experience with residential and commercial projects
• Comfortable with take-off software, spreadsheets, and project tools
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
