About the Role

Sid Grabell Contracting (SGC) is a well-established industrial and commercial electrical contractor in the Niagara Region. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a licensed 309A Electrician to join our team.

We’re looking for a licensed 309A Electrician who is motivated, safety-conscious, and ready to work on industrial and commercial electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain and service existing electrical systems, including main switchgear, transformers, generators, motors, and industrial machinery

· Install power distribution systems including breaker panels, transformers, generators, motor control centres (MCCs), conduit, lighting systems, main services, PLCs, and associated equipment

· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues efficiently and safely

· Ensure all work complies with the Canadian Electrical Code and Ontario Electrical Safety Code

· Work collaboratively with supervisors, electricians, and subcontractors to complete projects on schedule and within budget

· Follow all Ministry of Labour and company safety policies, procedures, and documentation requirements

· Ministry of Labour safety standards, procedures, and required documentation

Qualifications

· Valid 309A Electrical Licence

· Minimum 2+ years of post-licence experience

· Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code

· Proven troubleshooting skills and strong attention to detail

· Solid understanding of the Ontario Health and Safety Act

· Self-starter with good organizational and communication skills

· Clean driver’s abstract and valid driver’s licence

· Own hand tools

Assets (not required but preferred):

· Industrial or commercial electrical experience

· Experience with power distribution, MCCs, PLCs, or utility infrastructure

· Experience working in active facilities or plant environments
