We are a small, locally owned ice cream and waffles shop located in the bustling community of
Auburn Bay. We make our ice cream and waffles in house and are passionate about quality and
community.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a professional, forward-thinking Ice Cream Store Manager to support the
owners and oversee daily operations and communications. This role blends leadership,
operations and marketing responsibilities. The ideal candidate is both a strong team leader and
someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves.

Key Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for creating a safe and first-class experience for our staff and every
customer who walks through our doors.

1. Team Leadership & Staffing

• Recruit, onboard and train new team members
• Develop staff schedules to support profitability and maintain excellent customer service
• Supervise employees during shifts and provide ongoing coaching
• Foster a positive, team and customer-oriented work environment

2. Daily Operations & Inventory

• Comply with the provincial health, safety and sanitation standards and keep the store
  safe, clean and organized at all time.
• Manage inventory, ordering and vendor relationships to prevent product disruptions
• Monitor food costs and minimize waste
• Monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation and prevent disruptions

3. Production & Service

• Help to prepare ice cream and waffles according to company recipes
• Develop new flavours and seasonal offerings
• Help to scoop and serve customers during busy shifts
• Maintain consistent, high product quality and presentation standards

4. Marketing

• Help to develop a social media strategy and provide content for social media accounts

Qualifications :

• Passionate about our values and serving the community
• Passionate about ice cream and high-quality food in general
• Management or supervisory experience (food service preferred) including staffing,
  production and inventory management
• Experience with ice cream (or dessert) making and food safety knowledge preferred
• Natural leadership, initiative and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
  Creative with an understanding of efficiency and cost management
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail to ensure a first-class experience for our customers
• Willingness to be hands-on with both production and service
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms for business use
