Position Overview

Are you passionate about horticulture and enjoy being physically active? Join our team as a Shrub and Tree Sales & Maintenance Associate! This seasonal position runs from April to October and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting customers and maintaining our shrub and tree inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Unload product shipments, receive inventory, and enter items into stock systems.
• Customer Assistance: Help customers with product selection, provide advice on growing requirements, and guide them to product locations.
• Sales Support: Tag and load products for customers, ensuring a positive experience.
• Plant Care: Perform maintenance tasks, including watering, weeding, and pruning trees and shrubs.
• Site Maintenance: Keep the shrub bed area clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Experience:
• At least one year of customer service experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of horticulture or landscaping is an asset.
• Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Physical Demands

• Outdoor position, requiring work in various weather conditions.
• Physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.

Employment Details

• Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary.
• Location: Conveniently situated near CrossIron Mills, just a short drive north of Calgary.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation is required as there is no public transit available in the area.
