Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) to join our growing financial advisory firm. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive financial planning services to both existing and new clients, with a primary focus on strategic wealth management, investment planning, retirement planning, and estate planning. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor, building long-term relationships based on trust, integrity, and a commitment to achieving client financial goals. This position plays a key role in expanding our client base and contributing to the overall success of the firm.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients to assess their financial situation, goals, and risk tolerance.
  • Develop and implement personalized financial plans tailored to individual client needs, encompassing investment strategies, retirement planning, education funding, tax planning, and estate planning considerations.
  • Manage existing client relationships, providing ongoing support, regular portfolio reviews, and proactive recommendations to optimize financial plans.
  • Research and analyze market trends, investment opportunities, and economic conditions to inform client strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with industry developments, regulations, and best practices through continuing education and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including accountants and attorneys, to provide holistic financial solutions to clients.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal and state securities regulations and compliance procedures.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials and client presentations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Designated as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) – or eligible in 6 months
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience providing financial planning services to individuals and families.
  • Thorough understanding of investment products, financial planning principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Series 7 and Series 66 licenses (or ability to obtain them within required timeframe).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro).
  • Experience in developing and implementing estate planning strategies.
  • Knowledge of tax-advantaged investment strategies.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation a plus.
  • Experience with business development and client acquisition.
