El Gaucho Portland | A Northwest Legacy

El Gaucho Portland is seeking an experienced, driven Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This is a key leadership role you'll direct and participate in all aspects of kitchen production while upholding the standards of quality and craft that define the El Gaucho experience.

You will lead daily kitchen operations including preparation, seasoning, and execution across all menu categories. Contribute to menu development and pricing, and oversee inventory and ordering. A confident culinary professional with proven kitchen leadership experience, strong operational instincts, and a genuine passion for the craft you thrive in a high-standard environment and bring both technical skill and team accountability to every shift.

Final candidates will be required to complete a background check prior to offer.

Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 annually, DOE
