Location: Fergus and surrounding area Wage: $18/hour Duration: June 15th – August 10th, 2026 (8 weeks)
Responsibilities:
Assist journeyperson electricians with installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems.
Perform basic electrical tasks such as running wires, installing fixtures, and troubleshooting.
Support fire alarm system installations, inspections, and maintenance.
Assist with basic HVAC-related work and system support.
Help maintain organization and cleanliness in the shop and yard, including material handling and inventory.
Load, unload, and prepare tools, equipment, and materials for job sites.
Yard and lawn maintenance as required
Ensure job sites, shop, and yard are clean, safe, and efficient at all times.
Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations.
Support team members with additional tasks as required.
Taking photos and video while on the job site and in the shop for marketing purposes.
Qualifications:
Eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs program.
Interest in pursuing a career in the electrical trade.
Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Basic understanding of electrical systems is an asset (but not required).
Willingness to assist with shop, yard, fire alarm, and HVAC-related support tasks.
Ability to lift 50lbs and climb a ladder
