We are looking for a highly reliable, self-motivated morning assistant for a 5:45 AM to 7:45 AM shift, Monday to Friday, in downtown Kingston.
Because you will be supporting a person with disabilities, consistency and reliability are absolute requirements. You must be able to work efficiently and unsupervised to help launch his day.
Key Requirements (Must-Haves):
Strictly Scent-Free: You must arrive completely scent-free. Please do not wear any scented perfumes, colognes, body sprays, or scented hand creams, and ensure there is no smell of cigarette smoke on your clothes or person when coming to work in our home.
Proven Egg-Cooking Skills: You must have a proven track record of making perfect eggs over-easy, consistently.
Rock-Solid Reliability: A person with disabilities is counting on you to show up on time, every single day.
Downtown Kingston Commute: You must have a guaranteed, reliable way to get to downtown Kingston by 5:45 AM.
Cat Friendly: Must be comfortable working in a home with cats (feeding and watering them is part of the routine).
Independent Problem Solver: You can work completely unsupervised, spot what needs to be done, and solve minor issues on the fly.
Daily Tasks (To be completed in 2 hours):
Cook breakfast (including those over-easy eggs) and clean the kitchen.
Clean the bathroom and tidy the family room.
Do one load of laundry.
Feed and water the cats.
Water the garden and handle minor miscellaneous morning tasks.
Pay and Benefits:
Pay: Hourly rate is to be negotiated, but will be well above minimum wage. This is a payroll position paid by regular cheque/direct deposit with standard employment deductions.
Hours: 10 hours per week (5:45 AM to 7:45 AM, Monday to Friday).
