Overview:
Please note that this position is a Six-month contractual position.
Join our team as a Mover and be part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment where your skills are in heavy lifting, customer service, forklift operation, warehouse tasks, and communication. We are seeking dedicated individuals who are ready to contribute to our moving operations.
The Successful candidate is punctual, hardworking, and works well in a team environment, ensuring the safe transport of furniture and household items
General Tasks:
- Be able to lift up to 65 lbs, bend, crouch, kneel, and climb stairs consistently throughout the day.
- Safely lift and move heavy items during the relocation of household goods
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the moving process
- Assist in warehouse tasks such as organizing inventory and loading/unloading trucks
- Ensure all items are accurately tagged and documented
- Be able to conduct a digital inventory of clients' belongings
- Utilize inventory management software to record and update inventory details.
- Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by reporting all accidents, near misses, and hazards, avoid unsafe practices at work
- Ensure tasks are completed within the timelines to a high degree of accuracy and professionalism
- Routine communication with dispatch throughout the work shift
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure smooth operations
- Complete other duties as directed by management
Other:
- Demonstrate and promote the company's vision and values
- Maintain a clean, neat, and uniform appearance to customers and the public·
Qualification:
- Fluency in English language spoken and written
- At least 2 years of Industry experience
- A Valid Driver’s license will be an asset, with a clear Driver’s Abstract
- A forklift license would be an asset
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
