Your Role

As a Server at Steak Co., you are the face of the guest experience. You will manage a section of 3 to 4 tables and serve as the lead in coordinating your section while communicating fluidly with both front and back of house. You will be expected to bring in-depth knowledge of food, beverage, and wine to every table, execute F&V/Steak Co. steps of service with precision, and make every guest feel genuinely cared for from the moment they are seated to the moment they leave.

 

What You Will Do

  • Deliver polished, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm service that reflects our mission of making every guest feel like family
  • Manage a section of 3 to 4 tables with confidence, prioritizing tasks and coordinating section needs with front and back of house
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of our food, beverage, and wine program to guide and elevate the guest experience
  • Accurately receive and enter food and beverage orders through the POS system with speed and precision
  • Execute fine-dining coursing with appropriate and timely steps of service at every table
  • Apply strong salesmanship to drive guest satisfaction and support restaurant performance
  • Handle cash and process payments efficiently and accurately
  • Support private dining events and off-site catering engagements as needed
  • Strive consistently toward guest satisfaction, retention, and loyalty through prompt and courteous service

 

Expertise

  • Previous serving experience in an upscale or fine-dining environment required
  • Experience with private dining and off-site catering strongly preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of food, beverage, and wine with the ability to speak confidently about the menu
  • Familiarity with fine-dining steps of service and coursing
  • Proficiency with POS systems for order entry and payment processing
  • Efficient and accurate cash handling skills
  • Prior tableside service experience is a plus
  • A wonderful attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine heart for hospitality
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while keeping a sharp focus on the guest

 

Compensation

During the 2-week training period, and for certain limited activities thereafter such as setup for buyouts and company meetings, you will receive the applicable location minimum wage of $17.13 per hour.

After training, pay is structured as a variable base rate ranging from $1.00 to $17.13 per hour, plus 15% commission on your individual gross sales (gross sales less comps), paid 100% to you and not shared with support staff, plus any voluntary tips or gratuities paid entirely at the guest's discretion and kept entirely by you.

Average total earnings including base, commission, and voluntary tips range from approximately $25.00 to $70.00 per hour. Actual earnings depend on individual gross sales and are not guaranteed.

In the unlikely event that base rate plus commissions in any work week do not meet or exceed the location minimum wage, you will be paid at least $17.13 per hour.
