Your Role
At Steak Co., the first impression is everything. As Lead Host, you set the tone for the entire guest experience from the moment someone walks through our doors to the moment they leave wanting to come back. This is a front-of-house leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, upscale environment, leads with warmth, and genuinely loves the art of hospitality.
You will be responsible for managing the flow of the dining room, leading and mentoring the host team, overseeing reservations, and serving as a calm, composed presence during even the busiest service periods. Your ability to anticipate guest needs and support the broader front-of-house team will be central to the success of every shift.
Areas of Responsibility
- Create a warm, polished first and last impression for every guest who walks through the door
- Manage dining room flow, seating assignments, and waitlist coordination across all service periods
- Lead, support, and mentor the host team to deliver consistent, guest-first service
- Oversee reservation management software to ensure accurate and efficient table management
- Communicate proactively and clearly with front-of-house and back-of-house teams throughout service
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns quickly and graciously before they escalate
- Maintain a composed, professional presence during high-volume and high-pressure service periods
- Uphold Steak Co. and F&V Hospitality standards in presentation, communication, and guest interaction
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a host or guest-facing hospitality role
- Experience leading or mentoring a team in a hospitality or service environment
- Genuine warmth and a guest-first mindset in every interaction
- Calm under pressure with strong multitasking and prioritization skills
- Polished communication style and a professional, welcoming presence
- Comfort with reservation management software; willingness to learn new systems quickly
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays per the posted schedule
Compensation
$22.00 per hour
