We are seeking an experienced and people-focused District Store Team Leader to lead and support our New Minas and Yarmouth store teams. This role is ideal for a leader who is passionate about developing people, strengthening store operations, driving business results, and building high-performing teams.

 Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of retail store operations to protect and maximize sales results.
  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly business plans to facilitate KPI goal achievement.
  • Perform annual performance appraisals of all staff. Additionally, provide ongoing feedback, coaching, mentoring, and accountability for employees.
  • Support the recruiting, hiring, and orientation processes for assigned stores.
  • Equitably allocate time among assigned stores.
  • Create and foster a respectful and supportive environment for employees and clients.
  • Proactively seek and support ongoing learning opportunities for yourself and employees.
  • Work effectively as a team, use and learn from each other's knowledge and support your co-workers.
  • Demonstrate our company culture and values.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

  • Post-secondary education considered an asset
  • Hair, Esthetic, or other industry license is a plus
  • 3+ years of customer service/retail sales experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Leadership qualities that inspire, motivate, and positively influence team members
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change with professionalism, resilience, and sound judgment
  • Commitment to continuous learning, development, and team education
  • Strong conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to establish goals, drive performance, and achieve operational and financial objectives

Job Type: Full-Time position, 40 hours per week.  

Schedule/Store Hours: Must be available to work weekdays & weekends as needed. 

Current New Minas Store Hours

Monday - Friday

8:30am - 5:00pm

Saturday  

8:30am - 4:00pm 

Sunday

12:00pm – 4:00pm

Current Yarmouth Store Hours

Monday - Friday

8:30am - 5:00pm

Saturday  

8:30am - 1:00pm 

Sunday
