Pet Care Associate — Full-Time / Part-Time

Jet Pet Resort is a premium pet boarding and daycare company with multiple facilities across Canada. Our North Vancouver location features 47 luxury private boarding suites plus indoor and outdoor play areas.

We are growing and looking for long-term team members who can consistently provide a safe, clean, caring, and enjoyable environment for our canine and feline guests. We're hiring for both full-time and part-time positions and can offer flexible scheduling for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate treats every client's pet with the same care they'd give their own, in every situation without exception.

You'll join a small, hardworking team, so we're looking for someone who can adapt quickly to our pace. The workload is steady and varied, but the days move fast, and you'll spend them surrounded by great animals and a supportive team.

Ideal Candidate

Genuine love of animals, with the patience to stay calm around them at all times
Seeking stable employment with room for growth
Reliable and punctual
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow instructions closely
Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team
Available to work weekends and holidays as needed
Current or former pet owner with dog and/or cat care experience
Has previously entrusted a pet (or loved one) to someone else's care
Confident and able to take charge in high-pressure situations
Takes pride in cleaning to a high standard
Comfortable with physical work and getting hands dirty
Proficient and quick with computers, mobile devices, and apps
Holds or is willing to obtain Pet and Human First Aid & CPR certification
VOA or similar qualifications an asset
Some customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

Attending to each pet's individual needs with care and attention
Monitoring and managing group dynamics among dogs and cats
Administering medications accurately, with zero margin for error
Feeding pets carefully and completing related reports
Cleaning guest rooms and play areas (floors, walls, fences, doors, stairs, etc.)
Cleaning up after pets
Laundering soiled bedding and washing bowls, feeders, and toys
Bathing and nail trimming for dogs of all sizes and temperaments
Photographing and filming pets for social media
Interacting with clients and guests professionally
Communicating with teammates via two-way radio, whiteboards, and other tools
Using software such as QuickBooks, Broadly, and Paw Partner
Processing payments and maintaining accurate receipts and daycare logs
Other duties as assigned

Hours & Shifts

We're open 6:30 AM–7:30 PM on weekdays and 7:00 AM–7:00 PM on weekends and holidays, 365 days a year, with peak demand during holiday weekends. Part-time candidates should have reasonably open availability, reliable transportation to our facility, and willingness to work varied shifts as needed. Sample shifts include 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM, 6:30 AM–11:30 AM, and 3:00 PM–7:30 PM.
