Tire & Lube Technician

Job Overview:

Drobot Automotive is seeking a skilled and reliable Tire & Lube Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Tire & Lube Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality tire services, oil changes, and routine vehicle maintenance to our valued customers in accordance with company standards and provincial regulations. This role requires attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to excellent customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform tire services including mounting, balancing, and inspecting tires according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Execute oil changes and other routine maintenance services such as filter replacements (air & fuel), fluid top-ups, and wiper blade installations.
  • Conduct visual inspections of vehicle components to identify potential issues and advise customers on necessary repairs or preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to all Health and Safety regulations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Accurately record service performed, parts used, and customer information 
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Comply with all applicable provincial legislation regarding vehicle maintenance and repair, including those under the Automobile Dealers Act where relevant to services provided.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License meeting the requirements outlined by provincial licensing authorities.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and components, including tire technology, engine lubrication, and fluid management.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with office staff for vehicle needs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and performing physically demanding tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Tire & Lube Technician or equivalent mechanical experience.
  • Experience with tire balancing / Tire change equipment.
  • Knowledge of Canadian automotive standards and regulations.
