Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Red Seal Certified Automotive Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair a wide variety of passenger vehicles and light trucks. The ideal candidate takes pride in high-quality workmanship, works efficiently, and values a safe, collaborative shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Diagnosis & Repair: Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using modern diagnostic tools and equipment.

· Maintenance Services: Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake services, alignments, and tune-ups.

· System Overhauls: Repair or replace engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking, and HVAC systems.

· Safety Inspections: Complete comprehensive multi-point inspections and provincial safety compliance checks.

· Documentation: Clear documentation of all diagnostic findings, repair recommendations, and completed work on repair orders.

· Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to apprentice technicians in the shop when required.

· Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean work bay and strictly adhere to all workplace safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

· Certification: Valid Red Seal Automotive Service Technician endorsement (or provincial Journeyperson equivalent with Red Seal) is required.

· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a licensed technician. Dealership or specialty shop experience is an asset.

· Tools: Must possess a complete set of personal hand tools and air tools suitable for automotive repair.

· Driver's License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.

· Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic capabilities, familiarity with modern vehicle software, and comfort working on hybrid/EV systems is a plus.

· Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
