Maritime Beauty Supply is the leading distributor of professional beauty supplies in the Maritime Provinces. We have a store network of 16 locations representing numerous top professional lines s including but not limited to: Redken, Matrix, L?Oreal Professionnel, Pureology, Moroccan Oil, Olaplex, Verb, Bain de Terre, Cezanne, Babe, Babyliss, Avanti, Sam Villa, Quannessence, OPI, CND, Allpresan, and Gehwol.

We are currently seeking 2 Full-Time Distributor Sales Consultants. One position is to cover the South Shore & Valley (NS) territories. The other position is to cover the Moncton NS & PE territories. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

Position Purpose:              

The DSC's primary role is to profitably grow the territory sales (assigned customers) of MBS total brand portfolio to achieve month/quarter/annual sales objectives set by their Sales Manager. 

The DSC must establish a strong territory cycle plan and work with their respective Brand Managers & Team Leaders/Technical Sales Associates to provide the optimal customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:        

  • Consistently achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals and objectives

               i. Total territory sales ? supporting growth with all brands & categories

               ii. Plan & sell monthly promotions to all assigned accounts

               iii. Support the development and execution of local education programs and shows

  • Develop a territory cycle & routing plan to effectively cover all assigned accounts and sell all products and education to assigned accounts.  Plans must align with the BM role and ensure DSC results on non-BM accounts.
  • Implement MBS's sales programs and sell all intro's/promotions to achieve sales goals for the respective territories.  Required to achieve 80% placement of monthly promotions & intro?s.
  • Execute in-salon merchandising, brand image, and product demos with salon?s stylists & estheticians to establish a strong business relationship and sales growth.
  • Support the BM or Customer ?On-Demand? education and show events.  Attend all necessary sales meeting and training.
  • Complete appropriate sales planning/reporting and submit all paperwork on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or requested

Requirements and Preferences:

  • University or Degree in Business
  • Esthetics or Hair Styling Diploma
  • 2-3 years? experience as an Outside  Sales Representative


  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Proven ability to work within a Team
  • Strong time management and attention to details
  • Good computer skills ? word, power point & excel
  • Flexible to work weekends and evenings
  • Bilingualism an asset
