Title: Food Service Supervisor (NOC 6311)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible
Wage: $13.20 per hour, 37.5 Hours / Week, Permanent, Full Time , On Call, Shift
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Safe food handling certificate, Accounting course, Marketing course
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Computerized bookkeeping systems, Cash register, Point-of-sale system, Word processing software, Spreadsheet software, General office equipment, Internet browser
Ability to Supervise: More than 20 people
Budgetary Responsibility: $1,500,001 - $4,000,000
Work Setting: Restaurant
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
-Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
-Prepare food order summaries
-Maintain records of stocks, repairs, sales and wastage
-Train staff in duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
-Ensure that foo and service meet quality control standards
-May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets
-Determine related food and labour costs.
