-Creating a true team environment through shared daily responsibilities with the housekeeping and front desk teams

Daily responsibilities:

-Checking in and out guests, creating/modifying reservations, assisting with luggage and arrival/departure

-Processing credit card, gift card, promotional, and retail transactions while maintaining a floating bank for all shifts

-Ensuring proper ID and cash handling procedures are followed while adhering to federal and state regulations

-Creating arrival materials for all incoming guests

-Maintaining lobby cleanliness and appearance including coffee/snack station

-Provide comprehensive concierge service to all guests including a full knowledge of local restaurants, attractions, amenities, and events

-Act as hotel receptionist for guest, staff, and business communication and interdepartmental requests

-Maintain complete knowledge of property amenities, room information, hours, services offered, stay packages and promotions, rates, room status & availability, and location

-Issue safety deposit boxes to guests upon request

-Ensuring a successful night audit is completed and transcribing daily accounting records


Job requirements:

-Effective written and oral communication skills

-Ability to exhibit professional demeanor under stress while solving practical problems with limited support, understanding that patience, tact, and diplomacy will be required to diffuse anger

-Ability to learn new computer systems and integrate technology into completing tasks for internal and external customers

-Ability to compute and adjust mathematical calculations

-Confidence to work effectively under the pressure of multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, speed, courtesy, and cooperativeness  without supervision

-Ability to work an overnight schedule

-Previous hotel experience preferred

-High school graduate

-Ability to lift 30 pounds without assistance

-A persistent willingness to learn, help out your team, and be a key part of a true hospitality team!
