Halifax Harbour Bridges (HHB) maintains and operates the Angus L. Macdonald and A. Murray MacKay Bridges that span Halifax harbour.
As the organization responsible for operating and managing key pieces of transportation infrastructure, HHB facilitates almost 32 million annual bridge crossings. Providing safe, efficient and reliable cross harbour transportation infrastructure in a cost effective manner, the bridges provide a significant economic link for Halifax and Nova Scotia. Reporting to and with the support from the maintenance supervisor(s), maintenance painters are seasonal positions (May, 2018 - October, 2018, 23 weeks). The focus is on cleaning and removing failed coatings, surface preparation and coatings application to all parts of the bridge structures.

The hours for this position are usually 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday but may require extended hours based on work load. The starting rate of pay is $19.86 during the probationary period outlined in the Collective Agreement.
