As the Human Resources Manager, you will partner with store leaders to create amazing employee experiences and achieve business goals.  Reporting to the Head of HR, you will have the opportunity to build on your experience and develop programs that support our service and results-driven culture.  

You will make an impact by: 

  • Working closely with the business to drive and support talent management functions in the employee lifecycle with a focus on recruitment and performance enablement
  • Guiding leaders and teams for all matters related to people, and fostering a culture that promotes respect, commitment and continuous improvement through ongoing coaching and development
  • Supporting the implementation of Corporate programs and processes
  • Building relationships with internal and external partners to stay abreast and ahead of trends in best people practices
  • Performing various administrative requirements, including recruitment activities, onboarding co-ordination and performance enablement documentation
  • Assisting with HRIS data entry and report preparation
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Your mindset and skills include: 

  • An in-depth knowledge of Human Resources, employee relations, and Canadian employment legislation
  • Ability to foster strong relationships, with employees at all levels including executive leaders
  • Ability to work independently, identify and prioritize issues and develop alternative solutions
  • Strong initiative and work ethic to effectively support the team in a professional, timely and courteous manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Curiosity and interest in understanding situations as well as emerging trends in the field of Human Resources to promote best practices and continuous improvement

 You have experience and education including: 

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Human Resources
  • 5+ years of experience in an HR Manager role
  • Retail leadership experience a strong asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, in particular Excel and Word
