To ensure that The Grove campus has a clean, working and welcoming physical appearance both inside and out.

JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities Maintenance Manager is tasked with managing and directing both team members and vendors to coordinate and lead multiple processes to accomplish the objectives of maintaining our campus with excellence, as well as being responsible for the growth, leadership and management of your direct reports.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

·         Proactively look for ways to improve the environment and appearance both inside and outside for The Grove

·         Provides strategic vision and management oversight Facilities Maintenance Team.

·         Fosters a team environment that embodies our culture through the core values of unity, excellence, growth and generosity.

·         Proactively look for ways to improve the environment and appearance both inside and outside for The Grove

·         Manages the maintenance, service and repairs, including quality of vendors, in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and machine / electrical servicing for the organization’s commercial facilities, including The Grove Campus.

·         Monitor and manage maintenance of all aspects of our campus

·         Oversees the maintenance of all buildings and grounds at The Grove Campus, including the pond, lawn, & landscaping, as well as power washing, window washing, and janitorial services provided to The Grove. 

·         Monitors equipment and ensures efficiency and effectiveness.

·         Plans and schedules all maintenance activities for facilities

·         Assist with specialized projects at The Grove and Lubbock West, as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Meticulous eye for detail for anything that may need improvement and care

·         Influential with people – positive and professional, able to hold parties accountable to the needs of the environment.

·         Strong communication skills –  verbal and written

·         Self and social awareness – high emotional intelligence, ability to read others well and adjust accordingly

·         Creative problem solving skills - being acutely aware of the campus needs and finding solutions to meet those needs.

·         Driver’s license and insurance

 

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

·         Works inside in temperature controlled environment and outside in uncontrolled conditions. Position will be subject to possible extreme weather and driving conditions (rain, snow, high winds, sand storms)

·         Vision for near, mid-range and far as well as hearing for low, medium, and high pitch

·         Superior communication skills with team members, co-workers, customers, trade partners and vendors.

·         Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist

and frequent walking on uneven surfaces, such as dirt, concrete, rock, etc.

  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license and must be able to be insured by company fleet insurance.

·         Must be able to perform all job expectations safely with or without reasonable accommodations

·         Ability to lift 30-50lbs

 

WORK SCHEDULE

·         50 hours per week  Typically 7:00am – 5pm, Monday-F)

·         After hours and weekends may be necessary on occasion for trips, events, or to meet deadlines

·         Lunch meetings and events outside of normal working hours are required

·         Occasional travel to other company regions or event locations is required
