309A Electrical Apprenticeship Opportunity in KINGSTON, ONTARIO




A Local established electrical contractor is growing and looking to build their team in the Greater Kingston Area.


 Looking to hire a fourth- or fifth-year electrical apprentice, in good standing with OCOT, who is capable of working in residential/commercial sectors. Experience in industrial would be a benefit.


The successful applicant will become a key member of a tight-knit team, focused on safe and efficient completion of projects for a regular group of clients.

Day Shift - (shift work may be available)


Job Type: Full-time




Duties and Responsibilities


  • Accurately complete work orders
  • Work with project managers, office staff and customers to complete projects
  • Identify, troubleshoot and present technical issues in a clear and concise manner
  • Installation/integration of electrical systems to meet electrical safety standards
  • Solid knowledge and comprehension of the Ontario Electrical Code
  • Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit and electrical apparatus for machines or equipment in new and existing buildings
  • Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems and equipment
  • Operate tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Fire alarm installations
  • Commercial, residential, industrial


Qualifications and Requirements


·        Organization/planning abilities


·        Strong written and verbal communication skills


  • Tenacity and the determination to get things done in a timely manner
  • Self-sufficient, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid Ontario G class driver’s license with a good driving record


·        Valid 309A journeyperson electrician license (or apprentice in good standing)


·        Safety certified for working in construction (WAH, WHMIS, Workers Health & Safety)


ASSEST but not required:


·        Fire alarm knowledge an asset




·       Salary based on apprenticeship level, competencies achieved, and hours accumulated
