We are seeking a Packer to join our team.  This is a continental shift schedule that rotates two weeks on day shift, followed by two week on night shift and includes weekend work every other weekend.

Job Description - Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the finished product conforms to specification requirements outlined on spec sheets. This would include but is not limited to correct wrapping supplies, correct case count, tray thickness, trim issues, etc.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the general productivity requirements for finished products (as outlined in Product Specification Sheets, or as directed)
  • Monitor the cycle speed of the machine being run, on a continual basis, to ensure product is produced at optimal speed and efficiency.
  • Ensure finished product and work in progress is stored in a fashion that will maintain quality and minimize damage.
  • Scrap will be produced at a minimum and all scrap generated from the Thermoforming lines MUST be disposed of daily.
  • To be capable of performing, but not limited to:
  1. Feed new rolls to maintain continuous operation.
  2. Make heat and minor trim adjustments as required.
  3. Distinguish and isolate trays that are not specified.
  4. Speed adjustments
  5. Maintain communication with Lead Hand to ensure supplies are maintained at your line.
  6. Ensure correct wrapping supplies being used.
  7. Correct pallet configuration
  • Perform duties correctly, with minimal supervision.
  • Responsible for the accurate and legible completion of paperwork.
  • Other related duties will be assigned on an as needed basis.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of minimum experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Willingness and ability to work 12 hour continental shifts, which include weekend work every other weekend
  • High degree of accuracy and detail orientation is essential
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain the production pace as per production standards
  • Ability to work well with others/in a team environment
  • Demonstrated excellent attendance record
  • Ability to move objects with one hand of moderate weight

Pay rate: $20.18/hr. to start.
